ESSENTIAL OILS FOR EXAM SEASON

ESSENTIAL OILS FOR EXAM SEASON

May heralds the start of exam season for families up and down the country, It could be GCSE’s, A level’s, final degree exams, SATS or just end of year tests…whatever you are facing, there will be some anxiety floating around for sure!

Essential oils are an easy and effective way to reduce some of the stress and anxiety.

Using a diffuser is a great way to create an atmosphere for concentration, aid sleep or reduce anxiety.   You can also use your essential oils in the bath to aid a restful nights sleep.

Or you could create your own aromatherapy inhaler. You can purchase ‘empty’ inhaler sticks online so that you can add your own blend. They are so discreet to use, you can pop one into your bag or even your pocket and inhale when needed.

Here are some blends for you to try at home

CONCENTRATION DIFFUSER BLEND

To your diffuser add the following drops

2 drops of Cardamon –Ellettaria cardamomum
1 drop of Rosemary * – Rosmarinus officinalis
2 drops of Lemon – Citrus limonum

These three essential oils will help levels of concentration bringing clarity to your mind to help you study. All three are known to boost mental activity and will help to keep you alert.

This blend is not ideal if you need to sleep, as it may keep you awake…unless you are studying through the night!

*Rosemary essential oil should be avoided if you have Epilepsy.*

Sleep is so important at this time. If you are having difficulty sleeping try the following blend in your bath.
