Getting ready to talk at the CAM expo, London
I often get asked to speak at conferences or quote for magazines and in 3 weeks time on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October I am running 2 workshops at the CAM Expo at Earls Court, London. A fantastic opportunity to check out all that is on offer in this varied and exciting profession.
Maybe you want to network, attend a talk or gain CPD points, whatever you choose there is masses on offer. It’s also suitable if you are considering training in a CAM therapy.
On Saturday 5th at I am presenting ‘An Introduction to Aromatherapy’ a great way to learn a little about Essential oils and Aromatherapy. I always love to meet people new to Aromatherapy and spend some time telling them all bout the oils and how powerful they are! I get quite excited explaining what happens when we smell something. Did you know that smell is directly linked to our memories? Which is why when you smell something it can transport you back in time – powerful stuff eh? You will get a chance to explore some oils see how they smell whilst I explain what exactly they can do for you; understand how they work and where they come from.
On Sunday 6th I am presenting ‘An Introduction to Aromatherapy for Pregnancy’, as you know this is my specialist area. It is however only open to delegates who have a previous aromatherapy diploma. The workshop is only 1 ½ hr so it’s only a taster but you will get the opportunity to practice positioning of your pregnant client for their massage. Imperative as you want them to feel comfortable and secure, and may mean the difference between them booking again or you not seeing them again! So you will need to bring 2 towels, some base oil and wear clothes suitable for practising massage. I will also explain some basics about using Essential oils in pregnancy.
